2018
University Established
Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) established KKBAU with permission from the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh.

2022
Academic Permission
The University Grants Commission granted permission for KKBAU to launch its academic activities.

2023
Academic Activities Begin
KKBAU commenced academic activities by admitting students in different departments and began classes in January 2023.

Our heritage
The Legacy of
Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (R.)
Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (R.) was a renowned educationist, social reformer and Islamic scholar of the Indian subcontinent. He served as a Deputy Director of Education under the British Government and dedicated his life to spreading modern and moral education in Bengal.
In 1958, he founded the Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) to serve humanity beyond religion, caste and creed. His vision focused on education, social welfare and human development.
Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University was established by the Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) in 2018 to carry forward this noble vision and commitment to human development.
KKBAU carries forward his ideals by placing knowledge, character, ethical responsibility and service to humanity at the heart of higher education.
His legacy lives on in our mission — educating minds,
building character and serving humanity.
