Message from the Registrar

Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University (KKBAU) was established under the Private University Act 2010 with the approval of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The university was founded by Kazi Rafiqul Alam, President of the Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM)—a visionary educationist, philanthropist, and social worker. His aspiration in founding this institution was to serve the people of the southwestern region of Bangladesh by expanding access to quality higher education.

The vision of Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University is to “foster national development by establishing an excellent higher education institution that is responsive to the needs of society, actively contributes to knowledge creation, and develops capable leaders to face the challenges of the twenty-first century.”
