Message from the Dean
The Faculty of Social Sciences at Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University began its journey alongside the establishment of the university in 2018. Founded with a vision to transform the intellectual and social values of the region, the Faculty is committed to fostering critical and independent thinking—core principles nurtured through the study of Arts and Humanities. This discipline promotes thoughtful analysis, creative expression, and intellectual curiosity.
At present, the Faculty is home to the Department of Information Science and Library Management (ISLM), which offers an undergraduate honours programme—BSS (Hons.) in Information Science and Library Management. Through dynamic classrooms, modern laboratories, creative studios, and performance spaces, students are equipped for diverse career paths and empowered to thrive in an increasingly complex world.
